A bit of stutter when moving. Doesn't seem to be reduced by changing graphical options. Completely playable though, just not butter smooth unless you stay still
Everything works, performance is perfecly smooth locked 90 FPS. At first there were freezes due to shader compilation, after a couple of minutes they were all gone
Game runs perfect out of the box. Framerate is a bit low but the game is turn based, and I didn't compare to windows.
Non ideal framerate (30-40 fps) at 3440x1440 and high graphical settings. The game beta only has preset settings, and lower presets use a lower rendering resolution. I was able to get 70+ fps by using lower presets.
Out of the box, the game always crashed when starting a new game. I saw that it works for some people so I tried some tweaks and it turns out with PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 it works great for me!
I checked wether my system was correctly set up for ESYNC, and it is, so I wonder why the game does not work for some people when ESYNC is enabled.
I also read about the game having issues with Fullscreen, but I played both windowed and borderless fullscreen without issues. Did not try "normal" fullscreen.
Overall everything now works with good performance.
Borderless Window works better than fullscreen. The game is Borked without PROTON_NO_ESYNC so make sure to use that. Performance is really good, I play at maximum settings (all the sliders to max) with water reflections and shadows off and I get 60 fps in most of the places I have been (big cities and forests included). Also, shadows kill performance making the game run at 30 or so FPS even with very short draw distance and quality. Another weird thing is that the VSYNC seems to be forced on and double buffered so framerate drops will get the game stuck to 30 fps even if it could run better. Overall none of these problems impact gameplay though which is why I'm rating it Gold
Most text is upside down and menu elements are in the wrong position, also up and down are often inverted in menus, making it very hard to even start playing
Performance is excellent and the game runs great now, but graphics are corrupted making it unplayable if SteamVR is installed and the mouse is glitchy when using the map. Uninstalling SteamVR and playing with a controller makes it perfect.
With Proton 3.16-6 the online mode works, the glitches when changing graphics options are fixed, and the glitches when SteamVR is installed are gone as well! Proton 3.16-5 had all these problems which are now fixed. Everything works out of the box and I get solid 60 FPS at 2540x1440 max settings.
Framerate is 50-60 but goes down to 30 or so in cities. Also it feels a bit stuttery most of the time, while it was more fluid on windows. I'm nitpicking though, everything works and there are no other issues.
