RTX Enabled but set to low Screen % would create a fuzzy texture on everything
Played with mangohud for the first few levels without RTX and it felt off. Once i turned mangohud off and just left gamemoderun on all lag went away
Due to my issues with mangohud i would recommend not using it when playing the game outside of testing.

Ran out of the box without issue. Completed the entire game online with a friend in ~3 hours.

https://github.com/nuggslet/MGSM2Fix required for fullscreen
Played with MGSM2Fix which allowed fullscreen. Tinkered a lot with .ini files for the first few hours before settling on playing with default resolution scaling due to weird graphical glitches that occured (not an issue with game itself just expermental "fixes" with the mod) Game played great.

https://steamcommunity.com/app/2131640/discussions/0/3935643263185640453/ MGSHDFix and MGS2MC Better Audio used. Also had to download the missing XAudio2_9.dll to resolve audio issues but I have read the Better Audio mod resolves the issue on its own.
XAudio2_9.dll is required for audio to play outside of launcher
Sad to see Konami borking the linux install for whatever reason. Luckily its pretty easy to fix and community mods help with some small changes that Konami should've done already.

XAudio2_9.dll is required to hear any audio
XAudio2_9.dll required to hear any audio but besides the borked audio it played great.
Game in short plays just as good if not better then windows. The mods do seem to be what breaks the game out right.
When mods are enabled the game instantly crashes
