It doesn't seem to run if you let Steam chooses a Proton version and with Proton 7, it seems to give an error when you starts playing
It was great to see the game go from a scambling mess, to looking fine, to working but having to remove the music to just working. The game just works now with GE, no arguments needed
This is a quick test, there could be bigger problems later! But it runs fine now!

It was great to see the game go from a scambling mess, to looking fine, to working but having to remove the music to just working. The game just works now with GE, no arguments needed. The level editor's scroll bars are still blinking, but it's not much of an issue

This is a visual novel and the text displays all squares. Unplayable, including attempting to use multiple version of proton
In the latest version of proton (5.0-9), the game does weird black squares if you don't turn this on
Basically, the text is all square, and this is a visual novel, making it entirely unplayable
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 %command%
This is an update from my previous report. Around the time of the used Proton-GE version, the text finally started working
I tried without GE and let Steam choose a Proton version itself and it doesn't seem to run
Run it with the command or you get big black boxes everywhere
The font doesn't seem to be the intended game font, so you get some minor issues like a "g", the bottom of which clips into the game's name box. Due to how the text box works, that it avoids the bottom and the right side of it, it seems unlikely that text will clip out of it because of the font change
Keep in mind this is from a quick glance of the game and pressing ctrl for a few mins to see if there was any big noticable issues. It works now, but there might be some issues that could pop up in a full playthrough, but it does run
With GE or Steam's chosen Proton version, it was the same so far
This is a quick report since it basically just launched, only played with it for 20mins. It seems like it runs nicely enough to play. No problems in the 3D environment that I've seen. Few stutters in emulation however, but nothing massive, I was able to enjoy the game still, but others may disagree
It may be able to be fixed with messing with the arguments. Will update the review later
Game's intro before the main menu refuses to work, shows a black screen
Game's opening cutscene had desynced/delayed voices, not matching the characters talking, this was fixed with PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%
Game seems to be having a bit of problems switching from scenes to scenes during cutscenes, showing a bit of assets loading, but this is not a big deal and might be my aging hardware
Otherwise, I just completed the Jellyfish Fields and there wasn't a single problem during gameplay
I use a 8bit doh SNES retro receiver with a Wii U Pro controller connected, it worked no problems
I haven't tested the multiplayer yet
