Proton 5.13-4 had unbearable crackling but prototricks faudio fixed everything on Proton 4.11-13
Proton 5.13-4 had major slowdowns and heavy artifacting, but 4.11-13 works well apart from the faudio trcik
very enjoyable so far
using RADV vulkan, not AMDVLK vulkan ( VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/radeon_icd.x86_64.json in my case), otherwise SteamVR behaves badly
Very laggy during level/savegame loading but otherwise fine
using STEAM_RUNTIME_PREFER_HOST_LIBRARIES=0 game renders perfectly, but enemies do not, so not really playable
Replaced the NVIDIA 1060 with a Radeon RX480 and everything renders OK
Disabled my Display Compositor before running, otherwise lag is unbearable. Set WindowMirrorMode=0 in ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/436320/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Local Settings/Application Data/RawData/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/Engine.ini to save some GPU cycles (not sure if this helps). Stutters initially when loading new models or textures anyhow. Occasional de-sync between left and right screens for a few frames.
It hung when I quit the game and had to kill the process, but otherwise flawless
