Fixed audio issues with:
protontricks 70400 dswave dmsynth dmusic dmime dsound audio=alsa
This is the minimal selection of directmusic-related winetricks verbs that are needed to get audio working, plus audio=alsa
to reduce the audio delay and crackling experienced otherwise.
DRI_PRIME=1! %command%
(Xorg only) using a lower full screen resolution caused the mouse cursor to be offset in menus. Workarounds: use Wayland or set desired display resolution, before launching the game.
Only under Xorg, in fullscreen, set to a lowered resolution.
Played to 100% puzzle completion with no issues. Only real trouble was at the very beginning, figuring out that I had to force the game to use my laptop's dGPU by adding an exclamation mark to the end of the usual DRI_PRIME environment variable. Otherwise the game would still pick the iGPU.
Useful trick to know, in case you run into any other games that think they're clever enough to pick the right GPU themselves.
The only other issue was the mouse being offset when choosing a lower fullscreen resolution in the game settings, while in Xorg. This broke mouse menu navigation.
Switching to Wayland or setting the resolution in Gnome display settings fixes this.
