Set Quality to Medium, Vsync on Half. texture filtering 4x, disable tessellation and hairworks.
For controller input issues, use sudo apt-add-repository -y ppa:rael-gc/ubuntu-xboxdrv sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install ubuntu-xboxdrv
The game only stutters once every 20 or so minutes with Proton 5.9-GE-6-ST No severe slowdowns. Very playable.

You will need to go to lutris.net and search for the game. Once you click download it will automatically install origin and its dependencies. When you click the play button in lutris, manually log in each time. When done with the game, log out. I experienced issues with the launcher when I tried to have it just remember my password. Turning down anti-aliasing may help depending on what your system specs are.

open the terminal in both /steamapps/compatdata/1237950/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Application Data and /steamapps/compatdata/1237950/pfx/drive_c/users/$USER/Application Data, and type the following command in both
sudo chmod -R 555 Origin
when you need to update Origin, simply enable write access by going back into the folders and typing
sudo chmod -R 777 Origin
If running on Endeavour OS, make sure you have both the 32 bit and 64 but vulkan libraries installed. Origin needs both to install.
