Works fine as long as you make sure the drive you install on is one owned by the user and force proton as always in game settings.

Make sure to force proton in the game setting and not just on steams settings. make sure the user is the owner of the steam library folder.

Warsim: The Realm of Aslona
If you bought it on steam it should launch fine through proton. For the best expirience though I like launching warsim.exe under wine.
Tinker Steps:Launcher: Wine, Custom Proton
Under wine I had better Text zoom compaired to with Steam Proton. Both run perfectly either way.
