If a standard gamer wouldn't mod as much as I do, there may be less graphics bugs. Many mods aren't working. Mods work on Windows10.

Nvidia Driver Update past nvidia-driver-470 Borks Native Linux Support

To clarify, I dual-boot Windows and Linux, so playing this game in Proton has no appeal to me at this time. I can simply boot into Windows and play it with less hassles and more familiarity as I have been in Windows tech support for years and I'm only newly trying to increase my Linux comprehension and shift over.
I want this to play natively in Linux as it supports my Playstation4 buttons in-game by default. Using Windows or Proton immediately alters them to Xbox buttons, which is frustrating. Using Proton in Linux also makes it stop registering my controller at all.
I was playing this game natively without serious issues on nvidia-driver-470. Everything worked mechanically, and I actively play cooperative with my partner, also on Pop-OS, but using Proton for the same reasons. Nvidia driver updates stop native support.
I noticed that Proton support was producing better graphics in-game, especially with water effects and shadow. Also, focused view blurring on characters talking during cinematics was non-existent in Linux native. (I can't think of the proper word at the moment, but essentially the effect when the focus is on the character you're speaking with and the background behind them is blurred. This wasn't working in native Linux, but was in Proton.)
Anyway, the obvious solution, I assumed, was to finally update my Nivida driver as it was progressively getting behind. I decided to move from nvidia-driver-510 from nvidia-driver-470.
Now the game tries to open and fails. It instead puts displays a flashing green/white/black screen in the bottom-right 25% of my screen.
This is unusable to me. Again, if I have to use Proton in lieu of native support, I will just play it on Windows. The controller has more functionality with DS4_Windows EXE and I will have to use a mod now to get my DS4 button overlay back, which is frustrating. But I'd have to mod it using Proton and figure out why it's no longer seeing my controller in Linux Proton, which makes it far more complicated for me.
To reiterate, I'm hardly pretending to be a Linux expert as I'm slowly but surely trying to make the shift from Windows to Linux. I prefer the free world aspect of Linux as opposed to the horrible greed of corporations. But that being said, I also need to rely on the familiar, easier route when things like this occur. Sadly, dual-booting is still necessary for that, until things get better and more user friendly.

Once the game begins, the game drops to 1-3 FPS. However, when pausing with the menu open, it increases FPS to 20-35 FPS. Running this game in Windows runs perfectly fine. Originally, I played this game without issues on this same computer using the same OS. But my original M.2 SSD died, so I had to reinstall. Now I cannot play this game. I have tested multiple versions of Proton to try and improve the issue, but it suffers from the same problem every time.

1 to 4 FPS once in-game.
This game runs flawlessly on Windows, but sadly won't play over 4 fps in Linux. I have tried multiple versions of Proton, and numerous Launch Options.
