Touchscreen or mouse emulation required to get past the launcher.
Audio is missing from videos when using GE.
After around 20-30 minutes of playing, some graphics (effects, some text) suffer from mild corruption that is only fixable when relaunching the game.
I've tried standard Proton, Experimental, and multiple versions of GE - they all have issues to various degrees. GE is the only one with fully working video, though at the expense of the audio for said video. I had persistent graphical issues no matter which version of Proton I was using - I haven't played on Windows so I don't know if they happen there as well. The game is definitely playable but it should probably be downgraded to Gold as there's still flaws to be fixed.
Fullscreen causes graphical issues (see my previous report). Disabling fullscreen works best for this game, unlike the conventional wisdom on the Deck.
Don't enable fullscreen and things work well - see last post for the video caveats.
Works great after you turn on 'Force use of a steam play compatibility tool' and select the latest proton version.
Turn on use of steam play compatibility tool, and select latest proton version
Works fine on Proton 7.0-4, after you manually enable it. Not enabling makes the game just not load at all.
Works just as well as it does on Windows. Launch, play, have fun for only 25MB of your space!
On-screen keyboard on Deck doesn't open by default on the account screen, and sometimes the activation key combo backs you out of the account screen entirely. Clicking on a different field to type in it on the account screen while the on-screen keyboard is visible does not work; you have to close and reopen it.
Default button mapping had the face buttons in swapped positions for some reason (in-game). Remapped controls in-game and it seemed to work fine, other than in the tutorial.
Not much to say - it plays exactly as you'd expect from a Platinum rated game, other than the control weirdness. Runs nice on Deck.
Messed with a bunch of options to get it a little more comfortable.
Controls would sometimes not be detected if you launched the game and used the touchscreen to navigate menus instead of the mouse. Switching video modes in-game fixes the issue.
No idea why this is listed as unsupported on deck - the only thing I had to mess with was the controls.
PowerTools - adjusted to 4 cores, no noticeable framerate dip.
It's a fun VN, the issues that previous reports have mentioned appear to have been solved in the last few years and this game now runs flawlessly. The 18+ patch (applied by adding a file to the game's data folder) works just fine too.
Default audio device unsupported; switch to PulseAudio in the configuration window.
Switch from keyboard input to controller in the configuration window.
Overall, no major issues; just had to switch a few options.
Default (7.0-5) and 6.3-8 both close within a second or two after launch. Experimental and GE7-43 both get stuck on an endless Steam loading icon but Abort Game works immediately so seems like it just doesn't launch at all. Seems this just won't work on Deck at all until a patch comes around.
Replace the Windows version of nw.js with the native version - see https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/6414#issuecomment-1372716633
Game runs in a 16:9 frame (probably 720p, but there's no in-game menu to check)
The version of nw.js that the game ships with will not run under Proton. To get this working on the deck, you need to download native nw.js (from https://nwjs.io/, Linux 64-bit), extract the files and drop them into the game folder (overwrite existing files). You'll need to change the launch options to get it to run from the new version of nw.js though.
Install steamtinkerlaunch from ProtonUp-Qt (in Discover), set the game to launch using steamtinkerlaunch as the experimental tool, and launch the game; click 'Main Menu' when the popup appears to go into the SteamTinkerLaunch settings. Click 'Game Menu' at the bottom and turn on 'Use custom command', setting the custom path to the file named 'nw'. Then, toggle on the 'Only custom command' option below, and click 'Save and Play'. The game should launch every time after that. (SteamTinkerLaunch runs using proton7.0.5 by default at the moment, which works fine)
Once that's done, it seems to work perfectly fine in both desktop and game mode.
