The Weaver's System

The game is enjoyable, but there's only so many times Linux can crash in its entirety before the game loses its luster.

The game will not only crash, it will force Linux to restart entirely.
I'd look forward to anyone presenting a potential explanation or solution for this.
I've tried each available version of Proton and I've tried disabling esync and d3d11. In every case, it crashes without visibly opening. On first startup it does install needed elements. Either I'm doing something wrong, or it doesn't want to work. On Proton 3.7-8, it will sit there saying it's running for a bit before it stops.
The game is in early access, and saving runs is buggy on Windows, no more so for Linux. Runs are quick, so saving is very optional.
If using mods, because of the way Linux Steam handles the file system you can drop the custom folder directly into the main game folder (right click game, then click Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files). This info may change over time as the game develops.
[Beta] Beta version DOES NOT run Linux native. Tried Proton 5.0-4, 4.11-13, 4.2-9, and 3.16-9. All borked - game will not start.
Also did some tentative tinkering with dx and esynch options, but not in any significant way. They did not help.
