Worked (almost) flawlessly OOTB
Maximized windowed seemed to obstruct the part of the game where my taskbar was. Any window size besides maximized worked perfectly.
Gray screen freezes when AFK for extended periods of time. Restarting the game was the only fix

Binding gamepads to player 1 and 2 controls in-game was a bit confusing, but this is probably not related to Proton

PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 DXVK_ASYNC=1 PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 gamemoderun %command% -vulkan
DirectX ran at sub 50 FPS regardless of graphics settings. Vulkan [experimental] didn't make it past the splash screen without additional launch options, but was playable with what felt like triple-buffered microstutters.
My (host) game blocked until my (joining) friend accepted the Windows firewall prompt. No other issues were noticeable afterward.
Performance issues would likely be mitigated with better hardware.

Cutscenes tend to freeze, then crash maybe 50% of the time if watched to completion. Skipping them prevents this.
