Experimental + DX12 / Recommended + DX11 = constant buzzing independent from system volume. Pitch changes with graphics presets and settings
Experimental + DX12 = Stutters Recommended + DX11 = Better performance, stutters are better with low texture streaming Both = massive lag when rendering system UI (like volume control), still stuttering Graphic settings aren't much of a factor here. Game is installed to EXT4 partition on HDD (earlier NTFS on Windows)
If moving from Windows, remove config file from /home/user/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/893180/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Application Data/TheEccentricApe/Catherine
V-Sync breaks fullscreen, makes app launch in nonexistently small window
Proton 3 - launches, untested
Proton 4/5 - fail to launch, runtime error
Proton 7 - works
9/Experimental - no launch at all
Audio buzz during random activities
Occasional out-of-bounds
Works. Not 100% perfect but close
It's good
Some sounds are really low-passed (barrels, flash etc)
No obvious bugs or glitches. Audio issue is really minor, but if you-re a die-hard fan you'll hear it.
