If controller support is configured in Steam the controller is detected as both Player 1 and Player 2 at the same time. To solve this you can set "Steam Input Per-Game Settings" to "Force Off" for this game.
PS4 controllers are mapped weirdly (start/select on rear triggers), but it's fully playable.
The Pause screen flickers
Do NOT start the game in fullscreen mode. The game starts in a small window, but with fullscreen resolution, making only the top left corner of the picture visible. To solve this you have to delete the save-file, resetting your progress.
Workaround: In "./steamapps/common/GundeadliGne/gundead.ini" set Resize=-1 and Width and Height to your screen resolution before starting the game in windowed mode.

Does not launch
Getting some unhandled exception, seems to be missing a dll (maybe?), but I have not had time to tinker any more with it.

Don't know what changed from yesterday, but today it works flawlessly.
You need a controller. If you have one, you can play the game.
A controller are 100% required to play. When the game asks you to press Space to continue, this does not work (as previously reported), but you can get past this with a controller.
Game stutters a lot. Solved by disabling vsync in game settings.
It's a fun game, and the crashes are rare enough (and I'm not convinced it's not related to my system)
The game crashes occasionally during loading, mostly between levels. If the game crashes during "Quick Load" the progress for that level is gone.
Stability deteriorates the more I play...
I wrote a positive report after about three hours of playtime with only occasional crashes and only during loading between levels. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to play any more after that, since the game crashes more and more frequently. At first, only when loading in and out of levels. Suddenly it also crashes every "quick load". And now it has started to crash during regular gameplay as well.
