Game can be installed and the Main Menu can be access. Gameplay is impossible to play due to poor FPS. Graphics are either Stretched/warped.
Game is installable and the Main Menu can be played around with. Music on the Title Screen is completely missing. Didn't check Multiplayer, I simply booted into a Offline Endurance World took about 10 Seconds for the Game to load in but the Frame Rate is poor! It stays at 1-2 Frames a second. The Player Hand holding the Pickaxe is Stretched and Warped, however the Pickaxe Model and the Blocks in the world seem completely A O K. Not sure what the problem is but the game runs very badly. Even in latest Versions of Proton or GE it's the same Issue.
LAN Connection seems to be unstable however. I played with my Father from his Windows Computer to my Linux Computer. After a while the game Desyncs causing a ruined game. So I had to force myself on a Windows Computer to fix the Issue.
Game does not seem to work by default and tries to use Microsoft Edge. Game boots, sadly Black Screen.
This Steam Version isn't required to play the game anyway, you can just boot it up on your main Browser.
The Games fog was originaly broken when trying to play with Linux. Now it's gone.
Every Proton Version I get an error saying it could not create a DX11 Device.
Oh No! There was an assertion!
The log.txt file has more information (It doesn't make one in Linux for some reason I checked)
assertion failed 'HaltMsg' Failed to Create DX11 Device hr=80004005 Dx11GraphicsInterface::GraphicsInterfaceAttach (c:\x \ax2017\engine\windows\windowsdx11.cpp:1584)
(You can run this with just Wine, however whenever you try to do anything in it. It will CRASH)
I have beaten this game to it's fullest at least once! It is a very hard and challenging game filled to the brim with treasures, enemies.
Game running at 1080p proves some slowdown, however once dropped to 720p resolution it runs perfectly.
Game runs flawlessly with the Nvidia Geforce GT 610 and Intel Core i3-2100. I am sure Ram does not matter for this game.
Once the REFURBISHED Update comes out and you have a really decent AMD Graphics Card, you can definitely run this no problem.
This could possibly just be me due to Hardware released back in 2016; but this game also has AMD GPU Problems and it has yet to release REFURBISHED but has Open Playtesting.
This game can really run good on Linux if have a better AMD GPU like I do. OR just get a Nvidia GPU and run it from there.
Game works, however you cannot connect to Game Servers.
It's a miracle that Ubisoft Connect even WORKS for this game and the fact that it allows you to launch the game too is INSANE. However this is boiled down to the Game Servers not connecting to your Machine possibly due to it being Linux instead of Windows. I got a Could not Connect Error and it told me to check Internet connection and try again. Even though that is not the problem it's because the Game is not made for Linux.
From the looks of things, running this game on Linux runs the same way as Windows so I am 50/50 on Gold and Platinum.
This game hasn't properly come out yet, but they gave us a Fest Demo from Steam to play with and thought I should test this out on my Linux PC since I played it on Windows 10 with a friend. Seems to run alright on Linux.
R.E.P.O runs out of the box completely with Proton.
Just played this with 2 others Microphone worked perfect and the only real slowdown I had was with my hardware. (I was playing on a low end budget computer) Other then that, this game is straight up Platinum for what it is.
The program is usable... The Text is very annoying to read though.
Text is very hard to read in Program.
Other then that it runs completely perfectly.
You should be able to run this game normally on Linux.
It loaded the Menus completely fine but upon everytime I tried to load the Plaza it would fail to crash report and it would crash too.
This could be due to me having a very poor computer to try and run it. I feel like it could run it though.
Given that I have a AMD R7 350X that was from 2015 yes I did experience some slowness however it is rare.
If you have issues where your GPU won't be used in games, that is a Driver Issue... With some help I was able to swap the Drivers of RADEON to AMDGPU and change something in the cfg of the kernel you can get this game to work really good.
The framerate of the game would drop. Other then that the Full-Screens and Window modes work perfectly.
This game runs fantastic on Linux, even the game renders shaders for you. So I'd say it runs natively too!
