

This game works great with no issues, aside from the assertion errors that plague the Windows version as well. Just reboot and try again.
I tried all kinds of combinations recommended here. Nothing works. A complete turd.

No tinkering required. My Steam is currently set to operate with Experimental Proton but I've not had need to set any launch parameters or change any other settings. Seems to run flawlessly.

Every Proton Version I get an error saying it could not create a DX11 Device.

The log.txt file has more information (It doesn't make one in Linux for some reason I checked)

(You can run this with just Wine, however whenever you try to do anything in it. It will CRASH)

Game gets stuck on "launching", no error message.
Tried default Proton version, experimental and the previous one. Verifying the game files also gets stuck. Stuck to the point that I have to kill the steam process by hand.

The game works under Ubuntu 23.04 with no issues. Whatever was wrong previously no longer causes an issue.

Tried with the default Proton version, Experimental, a few older versions of Proton, as well as installing through Lutris. Same error every time:

Dominion crashed when I tried to launch it. Changing to "Proton 7.0-5" in "Properties/Compatibility" fixed it.
Runs perfectly after that adjustment, both solo and Internet multiplayer.

The game works, but crashes often enough that it's not an overly enjoyable experience.

Game did not start at first. The error said: assertion failed 'HaltMsg' Failed to Create DX11 Device hr=887a0001 Dx11GraphicsInterface::GraphicsInterfaceAttach (d:\ax_google\trunk\ax2017\engine\windows\windowsdx11.cpp:1583) I solved this error by installing: lib32-nvidia-utils

Not working with proton 6.3 and lower on Ubnutu 21.10
Game appears to work flawlessly other than issues related to it being in early access

Didn't load at all, tried various Proton versions and flags.
I tried a number of things to get this working, including different versions of Proton, trying to force it to use DirectX 9 or 10, and trying to get it to load without using DXVK entirely. Nothing ever worked. It would either fail silently or I would get an error message that said:

Use Proton 6.3-7 for now.
Worked perfectly until today. After system and game update today (2021-11-21 EST), no longer works with Proton Experimental. Worked after I switched to Proton 6.3-7.
I had only one crash so far (moving a card on top of a button), but AFAIK it was not a issue caused by Proton
Tried several versions of proton: 5.13, 6.3, Experimental and Glorious Eggrolls 6.1, 6.9, and 6.18

Works perfectly out of the box.
Game entered early access a couple of days ago as of this writing. Have only played the base (free) game - have not attempted to buy or play any of the expansions. No issues at all playing either AI or online multi-player.
