Controls didn't work at all.
Mouse didn't work at all, the pointer was visible on the center of the screen the entire time. Keyboard controls didn't work, couldn't walk forwards with W, and letting off all keys would automatically walk backwards.
Update to my previous report: Works great after a reboot
Initially my controls were completely hosed but after a reboot of Linux it worked fine. Definitely has some control lag, just enough to make me sick, but the game otherwise was flawless.
Worked until today's patch and they removed DX11 support. Don't buy until resolved.
It worked great yesterday, but today's patch causes it to just say that it requires a card that supports DX12.
Plays well for me. There was a bit when a patch came out that caused it to fail to launch but either they fixed it or a reboot did.

There are some issues but I don't believe they are Proton related. A bit of rubber-banding, and occsional getting stuck out of or in the map.
Requires Proton Experimental to work since the Sentinels update or will immediately crash when you open the build menu. After changing Steam to use Experimental it worked great.
Menu and cut scene were perfect. Plays amazingly well for about 30 seconds then crashes to desktop.
Scratches that nostalgic itch, played fast, got 75 FPS out the gate, just not stable on Linux for me - yet.
