Gameplay runs fine on both systems. My older system lags on the title screen, but the new one is perfect.
On my old computer (GTX960 and Intel 6600non-K), I would have a low frame rate and lag on the title screen. Game play was fine. On my current computer (GTX3070 and AMD 5800X) it runs perfectly.

No errors in gameplay, the only issue encountered is it doesn't close upon exiting, and needs to be forced closed.
Aside from the scroll issue, works perfectly out of the box on newer Proton versions.
Scrolling in some text dialogues wouldn't stick, instead forcing the text back to the top. This also meant that some decisions couldn't be clicked, luckily the game allows number key selection. This apparently also happens to Windows users so it may not be Proton related.
Controller couldn't be found and would not respond using the native functions. Controller could work with Steam's controller mapping to keyboard keys.
Steam reports the game is running at 60 FPS (my monitor refresh, with vsync enabled); game's title bar says 30 FPS and the game runs at half speed.

Worked perfectly out of the box. Just make sure to have enough hardware power to run it (Unreal engine)
No issue with the default Proton. I enabled gamemode for a bit higher performance, but it's not necessary for those with newer hardware.
Press ESC or use the F1 menu to go full screen if desired.
Multiplayer is no connected/networked, requires external voice or text chat. Game worked perfectly from beginning to end.
Aside from the lag and framerate drops that seem inherent to the game, it plays perfectly and runs as good as on Windows.
Some lag in the lab level near the end, the same lab occurs on Windows, doesn't matter what hardware.
Provided that the PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 option is set, yes, it would be an enjoyable experience.
Like the developer's other game Elegant Impermanence of Sakura, it requires: PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
to function without slowdown or fluctuating framerares. With this option gameplay runs flawlessly.
Default experience had a lot of slowdown, especially during spell cards and during cutscenes. With DXVK disabled it works well.
Slightly longer pauses between levels compared to running it on Windows.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 was necessary to avoid graphical glitches and occasional flickers
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1
Flickering sections of the play area with the default Proton, PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 solved that.
Alt tab and starting up flicker/rendering issue aside, once running it plays perfectly with no slowdown.
Sometimes flickers or doesn't render correctly when starting in full screen, ALT-Enter to switch between windowed and full screen solves it. ALT-Tab works, but clicking into a Steam chat window or Discord doesn't release the cursor.
Detected my controller perfectly without enabling SteamInput.
