Single player works flawlessly, didn't try online
5.9-GE-5-ST GloriousEggroll
Only windowed fullscreen works (GNOME's top bar remains visible)
Works with Proton GE 5.9 flawlessly (except for the windowed fullscreen, which is barely an issue). Doesn't launch at all with vanilla Proton 5.0.9.
Game crashed reproducibly at one point, had to resort to -force -dx11
to keep playing. No other stability or rendering issues whatsoever.
Flickering textures once in a while
Runs out of the box, didn't have to install anything in addition.
Played two missions with no issues, also tested with "PROTON_USE_D9VK=1" and "MESA_LOADER_DRIVER_OVERRIDE=iris", runs flawlessly.
Screenshots with rendering issues: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/2221
Launch options: "MESA_EXTENSION_MAX_YEAR=2011 %command%" for Intel HD / "PROTON_OLD_GL_STRING=1 %command%" for the rest.
No issues with NVidia 2080 Super and the default Proton 5.0.9. The issue from previous report persists only with the Intel graphics.
Hangs up after ~1h playing, forcing to kill the process and restart.
Frequent hangups, also only 4 FPS when using an external display connected to the eGPU, but 60 FPS when using the notebook's display. Other than that, the remake looks fine.
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 _NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia %command%
Required tinkering due to my hardware setup (Dell XPS with a discrete graphics in an external GPU box). I had to point Proton to start with the external GPU, else the game did not start with Proton complaining it cannot find a suitable GPU. Other than that, the game itself works flawlessly (played thru the tutorial + first two chapters).
~20 fps even in the main menu
Either the port is bad in general or the game isn't ready for Steam Deck yet.
