Played it with GE-Proton (did not try stock Steam Deck Proton). Played pretty flawlessly. Game installed an ran without issues. Played only 1 mission for now. No graphical or audio errors. Cutscenes played just fine. Controller was detected just fine. Highly recommend on the Steam Deck with GE-Proton.
Disabled back grip buttons and remapped those buttons
The text is small to read and cannot be changed with the in-game settings
The game ran just fine out of the box, no additional fixes or modding was needed. The original controls did not feel great and would highly recommend remapping them or using a community layout. Played the intro sequence only with no bugs, hiccups, or crashes. Only played for around 15 minutes.
I have the game through Origin (did not purchase through Steam). Launcher had to be installed and configured in the 'Desktop Mode' of the Steam Deck. After everything was configured, the game runs normally through the 'Game Mode' of the Steam Deck.
No visual or audio bugs. Controls work great. If you're willing to find a youtube video on how to install the game (Origin launcher) on the Steam Deck, would highly recommend it. Plays flawlessly.
Passed the first battle network game with no issues on GE proton
Initially tried playing with out of the box Proton for Steam Deck. Video cutscenes (like the game intro video before the main menu) would not play at all. Ingame cutscenes and gameplay had graphical bugs. Then I tried using GE-Proton. With GE-Proton, the video cutscenes were then playable, however it still had the same graphical bugs. The game itself is playable and installed with no issues. Menus have no bugs.
Played on Steam Deck.
The game installed, booted, and made it to the main menu with no issues. Controls did not work at all. Had to use trackpad as mouse to play the game. Was able to start the first few minutes of the campaign and no issues with the game or audio.
Not properly playable on Steam Deck out of the box without heavily modifying the controls or use of external keyboard/mouse (I'm assuming it's playable with mouse and keyboard - did not test).
