-Battleye
Trees and Rocks will sometimes persist upon loading into a mad. I.e there will be a tree in the middle of my house when I load in.
If you want to use battleye, use launch parameter -Battleye and check off "disable battleye" in the launcher. Otherwise it will not launch.
Rather impressed. Worked right out of the box. Running it with ultra graphical settings as well.
Proton-6.10-GE-1, GloriousEggroll
Game works as though it's native.
Installed and played. No extra work needed. Was able to do multiplayer as well with no issue, serving as the host for two others.
Proton-6.10-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
The game does not work unless you use Proton-6.10-GE-1 due to good ole fashioned Origin issues. Other then that performance is identical to Windows. Only bug I encountered (if you want to even call it a bug) is if your running fullscreen mode, whenever an achievement occurs the game gets minimized. You can alt+tab back into the game. Workaround is to run in borderless fullscreen.
Runs as well as Windows with Proton-6.10-GE-1. Nothing else needed. Origin is awful as always but does its job.

Running with 'protontricks 449610 d3dcompiler_47' will resolve issue with d3dcompiler_47.dll. However I found it easier to just download d3dcompiler_47.dll and drop it into ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom/x64 as Mr frAk mentioned in his review.
Works out of box with Proton Experimental
Compared to previously, where you had to tinker to get sound to works, it now works out of box with proton experimental. No tweaks needed. Plays just like windows
Very impressed. Worked with no tweaks. Running mixed high/very high. No issues present that arent present in windows.
I initially started the game on Windows 11 and just like many other reviewers reported, it was a janky mess of FPS drops, even in menus. Game would hammer on both cpu and gpu usage regardless of graphical settings.
Loaded game up in Fedora and use GE 7-55 and was baffled. While there is intermittent stuttering that I feel is related to shader compilation, game performed so much better I almost forgot about my ordeal with it on Windows. Was surprised to find that even raytracing worked without adding on too much additional strain on my GPU.
Works surprisingly well. Occasional stutter here and there, but no worse than windows.
Slight stutter here and there. Nothing major
Installing with 4.11-13 gets around both initial black window on installer as well as the storage issue where installer will tell you theres not enough space. After installation, switch back to 6.3-8 or Proton Experimental.
No need to set drives or set NVAPI unless you are specifically using an nvidia card. No need for GloriousEggrolls, unless you're experiencing some bizarre performance issue.
The game runs flawless otherwise. I did a 30 minute run on both Manjaro and Windows, noting performance from CoreCtrl/Htop and Radeon Adrenaline/Task Manager respectively. The came performs virtually the same, with there maybe being a 3-5fps drop (which could of just been ESO).
