Works as expected. Minor issue thats annoying is the fonts are cut on the right side of bounding boxes and makes difficult to read sometimes
Had to install with "$ protontricks 105450 mfc42 winxp l3codecx corefonts". After that it worked well. Sometimes the game sound mutes after a while.
The game opens, you can play it with no issues. DLC seems not to work properly.
I still preffer Dirt 4. It pushes online single player and DLC shit everywhere. Not worth it if you didn't get it at a discount.
There is an input lag in the official proton, should be using GE but your mileage may vary.
Videos don't play unless you use Proton-GE
Look for DefaultEngine.ini file, open it with a text editor and look for [ISACTAudio.ISACTAudioDevice] section. Add following in that section
DeviceName=Generic Software UseEffectsProcessing=False
save and restart the game
Works out of the box with official Proton 6.3. Used Wayland Plasma Session and no bugs were found.
Even it recognized my Wacom pencil and touchscreen combo.
Nice little game. Works nice and clean
If the game is run in "Fullscreen" the mouse can't reach (is clipped to) the left upper side of the game. Using "Borderless Fullscreen" works perfectly.
Played on GNOME Wayland
MAke sure you use Proton 5.0.9 from SteamPlay Otherwise youll expect game options to not survive across game exit/start
Plays fine on my machine between 30-60FPS with reduced resolution and medium graphics settings
Sometimes the FPS drop to a crawl on scripted non-controllable scenes in-game. Just exit and restart the game will be enough.

Videos won't play if you don't use Proton GE. 5.13-6 works but won't play videos.
