I could only get the game to run using Proton 4.11-13.
It took a few tries of toggling full screen and windowed on/off to get the settings to change.
In order to reduce the lag during the first match, go to Steam settings > shader pre-caching and enable shader pre-caching and allow background processing of vulkan shaders
Anti-Cheat Update prevents game from even launching
Summer 2021 Update includes new anti-cheat feature
Full screen works but for some reason, kept opening on the wrong monitor. I struggled with the settings but nothing would stick. I ended up running the game windowed.
At times, the fire button on the mouse would keep firing. I had to alt tab to fix it. Sometimes it felt like the mouse moved outside of the game window.
The game does have anti-cheat. This is resolved by using Proton Experimental
DXVK_ASYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%
With multiple monitors, fullscreen would open on the wrong monitor, yet the mouse cursor was stuck on a different monitor. Windowed mode was the only option that worked for me.
60 FPS. Some stuttering. Not sure if it is like that on Windows though.
Game is playable with the latest version of Proton Experimental. Full screen may not be an issue if you are only one monitor/screen (like a Steam Deck)
Dialog audio seems to be missing when music is playing. I noticed that some characters sentences were cut short.
Textures seem to be a mix of low res and high res. This may just be how the game is, I don't really know.
This game has a 32bit and 64bit version. I only played the 32bit version. I did NOT experience the reported issues of texture pop-in or missing textures.
I ran the game with medium settings. Turned off Motion Blur, Anti-Aliasing and set post processing to low.
Video on billboards and menus does not appear correctly.
The game would periodically crash/close when using Proton Experimental
