As noted in other reports, requires BloodBowl2.exe replacing with symlink to BloodBowl2_GL_32.exe to run. If you alt tab out, you have to press alt once after returning to the game before anything works. Performance is great, solid 60fps throughout.
Game seemed like a Platinum rating at first, played through the tutorial area without issue, arrived at the first town and the game hard reset my machine. Game will without fail reset my machine after a few seconds in town.
Wasn't a heat issue, also booted into a Windows VM and the game works fine there. Something proton is doing is causing a hard reset. Kernel/mesa issue? Also, running Proton 4.2-9 but this site only has up to 4.2-7 listed at time of submit.
As with other comments, used protontricks to set wine/proton to use alsa. Without that realtone cable isn't detected.
No RTC without setting wine to use alsa.
Rocksmith.ini needed Win32low latency setting to 0 and exclusive mode setting to 0 along with the wine alsa change in order to detect RTC.
Using pipewire on Debian 12 and the motherboards analog line-out (not hdmi) audio output gives a latency that is quite possibly on par with windows OOTB, although I didn't side by side to be sure.
Further latency improvements could certainly be achieved with the WineASIO and RS-Asio methods others have described, but it's low enough to be playable as is for me.
I did notice pw-top shows buffer/sample rate as 256/48000 however there's two wine preloader entries that show higher buffer of 480 so still potential to reduce latency further if anyone knows how to get wine to obey the PIPEWIRE_LATENCY= env too.
Working fine on 7.0.3.
Proton Experimental is currently broken for me though, game fails to launch after selecting game world and just returns to steam.
Previously made a gold entry after playing the game for 10-15 hours without issue (other than the initial install and lack of dx11) however, I've started to notice that sometimes when you try to access the store or "help" section of the game, the game will minimise to the tray. Maximising the game again will give a blank screen with just the audio continuing. Only option is to "pkill -9 lotro" and relaunch the game.
Avoiding the store during quests/raids is a sufficient workaround though :) As far as performance goes, the game is now much closer to windows than my previous report suggested.
Mouse is not hidden when holding RMB to move camera around. Minor issue.
Sometimes the launcher freezes on downloading splash screens. Stop and launch again will eventually work but can take a few attempts.
Mouse cursor is not hidden when rotating screen view around. Minor issue, easy to ignore.
Occasional crashes when entering some buildings in Bree. Also occasional crashes when opening the external store.
