On Sway specifically I've had some flickering with fullscreen mode. Going into Windowed and making the game fullscreen through Sway fixed that easily though.
DS3 runs really well out of the box. No major glitches, performance issues or visual problems. The problem with Sway is a relatively niche thing that can be expected with a Tiling WM, so no surprises here.
Worked fully out of the box. Even installing DSFix didn't cause any trouble at all, like some people seem to be having. Following the instructions was all I needed to do for that. Obviously Multiplayer servers are long down, so I can't speak on that.
Absolutely no problems. Ran out of the box all the way until I got all achievements without a single issue.
Played through the entire game, including all achievements, and had no issues at all.
Doesn't work consistently on sway or i3
SteamDeck=1 %command%
I first tried running the games on sway, as that is my main WM. The game selection menu comes up with no problems and I was able to get into a game and play without any problems one time. If I try to start any of the games on sway, they seem to start up but the window just disappears. There's still audio playing and I can tell, that my inputs are being registers from hearing the sound of the menu but I can't actually see anything. Thinking it might be a wayland problem I went to try it on i3 but that worked even less, since I couldn't even get to the game selection screen. I just got a black screen without audio or anything. I'll be experimenting a bit more and see if other options work.
There was a tiny bit of crackling in the very first cutscene, haven't noticed anything since
It seems that on sway the full screen mode causes the window to just disappear after selecting one of the games. Changing the setting to Windowed and manually going into Fullscreen through sway worked perfectly fine though.
To update my report from a few days ago: Sway works as described and i3 seems to work through gamescope. KH1 runs great, haven't tried out the others much but they started up at least.
