The native version did not start on the default branch, but unlocking the feral_support_branch beta branch with the code "feraldirtsupport" did make it work without issues for me. The native version provided higher 0.1% lows and ~3-4% higher average FPS compared to playing it through Proton on the same settings.
If the game is allowed to run at higher than 120 FPS the dialogue gets cut off slightly before the end of their segments. There were also some very rare audio popping at low base sounds.

Without forcing DirectX 11 with the --use-d3d11 launch option the game had both slightly worse performance and crashed with frequent intervalls. The crashing on DirectX 12 seems to be an issue for AMD Radeon 7000-series GPUs overall and affects Windows and Linux users alike. DirectX 11 introduced some frametime issues however, but at framerates above ~70 I cannot notice them enough to care, so it wasn't that big of a deal.
