Almost indestinguishable from its native Windows counterpart.
Runs just as perfect as the windows version. If only it was still being natively supported on Linux...
Just force proton on it, and that's it. Nothing else. Happy gaming!
Little to no difference running this game on the OS that was tested (Regata) and Windows.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Has trouble with on-demand patching. Disable to fix. Disable full-screen on initial load, and switch to full-screen after game has loaded, if desired.
It works great. Remember to input this command in "properties>general>launch options
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
I don't know too much of the technical details of the command, its what i read from other reports. It does launch the game properly, as I have tested both with and without that launch command.
RESULTS WILL VARY. By some miracle I have successfully ran a game on an 11-year old laptop.

Works excellent. Make sure your flavor of Linux is up to date, as well as your graphics drivers. I believe if you have any NVIDIA 700 series GPU or newer, you can install driver version 525, otherwise install 470.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 DRI_PRIME=1 %command%
On Either a Second Windows Machine or VM:
- Install Super Mecha Champions, and make sure it is up to date.
- Go to the game settings, click on Local Files, and click on Browse.
- From there, you can either copy everything onto a flash drive, or move them to a folder on your host machine for easy access.
On Your Linux Machine
- Go to your game settings, and navigate to the General tab
- Input the following command into the Launch Options bar: PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 DRI_PRIME=1 %command%
- Navigate to the Local Files tab and click on Browse.
- The game folder should pop up. Delete everything in that folder (yes everything).
- Grab the files you copied from your Windows machine or VM and paste them in that same folder.
- Go back to your Local Files tab in your game settings, and click on "Verify integrity of game files"
- Launch the game. This should work with any version of Linux.
