Fedora 34, Xorg, Proton 5.13, Legendary EGS CLI Launcher. Works great.
Multiplayer did not work unless I tapped the regions menu and double-clicked North America. Works fine after that.
The window for the game shows up as black, that's about it. Same as all the other reports except the first one. Nothing I've tried works.
Attempted to use the devenum/quartz overrides
Only way to get this game running as far as I've found is in a VM.
Works nearly as expected via this wine version and Lutris. Seems even better than on Windows
Installed quartz + devenum, native dll override
The mouse moves around even when tabbed out
It's a little stuttery but it's totally playable
The game WILL crash within 10-30 minutes.

I have two devices with AMD graphics. In my previous reports, I had issues with this game crashing on Linux AND Windows, and as a result, I believed it was satisfactory. At this point however, the game runs on latest AMD drivers on Windows with no crashes after 3 hours of gameplay.
This issue has been confirmed on the AMD RX 5600 XT, and a laptop with the AMD Ryzen 7 5700U (integrated graphics).
While the game does have worse performance, I enjoy it just fine. I'd rather run it directly on linux than boot a virtual machine.

Compared to a Windows Virtual Machine (VFIO), I get ~60 FPS compared to ~120 FPS. However, with motion blur (? I think so), even with a 144hz monitor it is not very noticable.
Alt menu in particular is buggy; tabbing around while the game is loading causes it to fail to load
Slightly lower FPS but given how OMSI is sluggish in general it's expected

Proton Experimental seems to result in bad FPS for me; can't get anything higher than 25-30, even with FSR. This could be a shader issue perhaps, and could correct itself after some time, but I haven't waited all that long with it running.
GE is running around 200 FPS, and is perfectly enjoyable. You do need to change the "frame rate" setting to get above 60.
Modding (this also works as expected!)
The game is slightly better with Proton, especially for modding. Natively, it's still fun.
Runs perfect. Great game by the way.
Played the whole thing in one session (4h 45m). No crashes, nothing. Been years since I've last played and it's still fun, enjoy it.
MANGOHUD_CONFIGFILE=/path/to/MangoHud/ror2.conf WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR_MODE=ultra DXVK_ASYNC=1 gamemoderun mangohud %command% -nosplash
Equivalent to Windows. Modding works perfeclty with r2modman.

It's really only as buggy as it is on Windows. Otherwise, it's fine.
