Joining servers didn't work initially because of Easy Anti Cheat: "You were kicked by Anti Cheat. Make sure game is properly launched with anti cheat services." The problem was a workaround in /etc/hosts for EAC that I had to add for Star Citizen. Removing this line from the file: "127.0.0.1 modules-cdn.eac-prod.on.epicgames.com" should make it work out of the box. There were also some graphic glitches on first boot because of incorrect automatic resolution picking. It's a bit annoying to go through the menus, but once the right resolution is set, it all works.
Very minor UI annoyances in respawn screen sometimes doesn't allow mouse to move past map, hold Tab for player list to go beyond it and use buttons outside.
On first boot due to incorrect resolution detection there were artifacts - all gone as soon as resolution is set properly.
Exclusive Fullscreen seems to break (sometimes?) when tabbing back in
Respawn menu has issues with sometimes not allowing mouse to move away from map.
Apart from needing to edit one line in the config file it's plug and play. Great experience
Launch game, no window. Exit game, go to install folder and open generated portal_knights.cfg. Edit "api" entry to "Vulcan", start, have fun
Raytraced performance is probably not the greatest, but that's just general Mesa graphics stack not having the most mature raytracing support quite yet. Overall it just worked and felt stable enough. (Though this is from the very first alpha release, so things might change and performance issues might also be completely alpha-related)
Works as expected, with no noticeable slowdown or extra bugs. Likely to change in the future as it's still in beta.
I did have some issues with random stutters while VSync was turned on (nothing game breaking), but since I have this issue in other apps as well, it's most likely an issue on my end with graphics drivers and not Protons fault
