Runs perfectly, Just install winetricks and open console and paste this command "WINEPREFIX="/home//.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/39150/pfx" and select install windows DLL or components, install directplay and music this is make music work, if you want tomberry mods to work just go to winecfg and type "d3d9", the performance drop isn't too noticeable.
You MUST change the proton version to 8.0.5, Newer versions are borked with Rockstar Launcher.
After Switching to Debian, this game runs much better than the Windows version, In Windows i installed a lot of mods to made this game perform better such a nightmare, to run a 45fps even 20 fps while driving, In Linux i just installed normally with the rockstar launcher and i didnt change anything and i didnt install any mod, work out of the box with stable 60 fps with native configs. I Didnt try modding this game because i want the achiviements to work everytime i tried to mod i had to add "new game locally" in the steam which disable the achiviements.
Just download play and enjoy.

Runs perfectly, Stable at 60 FPS with full mods. You need to add PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command% to initialization options to eliminate input lag.
