Grand Theft Auto IV
Won't start since Steam forcefully upgraded "GTA IV" to "GTA IV: Complete edition"

When I try to launch the game, the following error-dialog appears on screen: "Unable to launch game, please verify your game data.".
I tried Steam's "verify game files" function, tried re-installing the game, but same error occurs.
( Previously got GTA IV +working by replacing xlive.dll in game directory with this "xliveless xlive.dll" )
