Some of the text was a bit small. This was fine for me, but might be an issue for people with more severe vision issues.
I prefer playing platformers on a console. Playing this on deck makes the experience a lot smoother than it would be otherwise
The initial menu screen had some slowness. The game itself ran fine
Warning: You won't see the specific keys you need in the controls menu. Here are some: a to jump, b to tail whip, x to interact with people and items, and the 3 lines button to open the menu
Disgaea PC ran fine for me with the default settings. The only negative I really "had" were my game screenshots looking a little muddy; that's probably due to how old the game is though.
For reference: I played the game on Proton 9 and used the Gamepad controls.
The game runs fine once you're past the new game screen. Gnosia's Steam port isn't the ideal way to play it, but the game itself is great
I had to manually change the window size to Steam's native resolution (1280×800) in the settings.
You also need to change the controls to "Keyboard and mouse" in order to get past the name entering screen if you don't have a bluetooth keyboard. You can switch to the Gamepad controls once you're done entering your name and stats.
Manually capped the frame limit and GPU Clock in the Performance settings
I enjoyed the game (I spent 100+ hours on it), but you should probably play this on a console or a heavy duty PC if you have the option.
The game crashed on me multiple times unless I manually capped the FPS and changed the graphics settings to medium or low. The game played fine for me once I made those changes.
