Unable to launch game
I've tried changing which version of Proton is being utilized and have gone through just about all of them at this point. Downloads fine, however it wont launch. I get the "Windows distributable" installation and then it quits. Would be interested for others with same issue who have resolved.
Unable to launch
Can't launch the game. I've used different versions of Proton to attempt to fix the issue, no versions work currently. I think there was a recent patch from TaleWorlds studio and that could be the issue with compatibility now, I'm just not familiar enough with the details of how each of these pieces of software interact to understand the source of the problem. Others appear to be running this just fine, would be interested on their input.
All versions of Proton don't work
2 months ago I added a report that I could not get it to work and I thought the update possibly broke it. Nothing seems to have changed. I have fairly modern hardware and my system is updated. I'm using ZorinOS, which is a fork of Ubuntu, not sure if that's causing issues. Would like to see others input to see what they had to do to make this work. It's a shame, this is one of my favorite games ever made.
All versions of Proton do not work
I've tried every iteration of Proton available and even Boxtron to try to get this game working. I can get into the loading menu, however it usually crashes after that point.
I'm using ZorinOS, which is a fork of Ubunut. I have updated everything on my computer and even reinstalled the game a few times. I'm not sure what others are doing on here to get the most recent version of Proton to work, but I would like to know so I can play the game.
My friend bought me the game and I wasn't able to play it on any proton config initially. I noticed there was a report recently with Experimental working. I tried it myself and it works perfectly fine. Runs as if it is native now. I haven't played too far, so take this for what it is, and that is a very early look into the game. With that being said, sound and texture quality was really nice. Borderless Fullscreen works with no issues, the start menu is very smooth and almost has this tactile feel when you're moving around in it. The game is working very well so far. Great initial first impression, and amazing how quickly the game can work using Proton only a week after I got the game and with this being a relatively new release.
