This report is specifically for the Convergence mod. Works only after acquiring an older version of the executable file.
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8.dll=n,b" %command%
This is a known ModEngine issue after the new updates that aimed to fix multiplayer. I got Convergence to work by replacing the game executable with an older version and then forcing dinput8.dll via the launch parameter. The mod then launches and works as it should. Have not tried multiplayer but I wouldn't risk it anyway.
Works almost flawlessly out of the box except for sharing clips
Alt-Tab seems to just keep the game above any windows except for my Plasma bar
The replay clip feature crashes the game, tested on both native and Proton.
As mentioned, clip sharing crashes the game as soon as you start the recording and upload process, which sucks since they're a very cool part of the game. Other than that and the already mentioned alt-tab issue, the game works fantastic on my machine.
Default compat works, but I'd recommend Linux Runtime just for save synchronization between the Deck and desktop
By default my save game would not synchronize between desktop and my Steam Deck, switching to Steam Linux Runtime solved the issue
The only online functions of the game are the community levels and replays, both of which were operational and working fine
Couch co-op has no issues
As previously mentioned, I faced issues with synchronizing my saves, but forcing Steam Linux Runtime solved my problem
gamemoderun %command%
The DLC campaign hard crashed my system to the point of requiring a manual reboot. Switching to Proton 8.0-3 and setting gamemoderun seems to have fixed the game for me at the moment and would suggest it as a fix until something develops.
