Multiplayer doesn't work, game is flawless otherwise
Works fine, but you might need to mess with the in-game graphics settings to get a desirable framerate.
Specific effects will slow down the game (although it will still be within a playable framerate):
- The Celestial Portal (inexplicably so, because the other portal effects give no slowdown).
- The Monolith when enabled in the A Moment, Fractured stage (generally no problem, because nothing intensive will happen during gameplay while it is enabled).
- The Magma Worm's defeat transition from orange to brown (sometimes).
Certain graphics settings would also slow down the game considerably every once in a while into a low double-digit FPS range for me. Disabling V-Sync and unlocking the framerate helped a lot with this, and so did disabling SSAO, Foliage Wind and Soft Particles.
The game would rarely crash on startup, and when exiting through the main menu. Works fine otherwise.
Might sometimes crash on startup and when the game gets closed through the main menu, but works fine otherwise.
Used Proton 4.2-9 instead of 4.11-11 (latest version when this report was written) because it was giving FPS slowdowns every once in a while.
Can be fixed by going to %SteamLibrary%/steamapps/compatdata/638970/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Application Data/Sega/Yakuza0/audio.ini and setting AudioMode=1 (from 0 to 1)
Needs PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 just so it's possible to save games and changes like resolution, graphics, etc.
Crashes very rarely. Game does not have an autosave feature, so saving often is recommended.
Didn't launch with my multi-monitor setup until I used the DXVK_FILTER_DEVICE_NAME environment variable to filter my discrete GPU. (Was not a problem in the previous DXVK version.)
