The game runs perfectly out of the box with default Proton.
I didn't even tweak anything. Cutscenes works out of the box, unlike the first one. Run and enjoy.
The game just works perfectly out of the box, no tweaks needed, everything maxed and constant 60 fps. Very slightly stutter at first, but when shaders are cached, it disappears.
Using DualShock 4 with no extra configuration needed.
Only one minor annoyance I'm having: when I exit the game, it returns me an error and I have to kill the process. It doesn't affect to anything, and everything saves correctly. Apart from that, it's a platinum for me.
Performance is 1:1 compared to my Windows partition. Between 110 and 160 FPS, all maxed on a GTX 970.
Disable Steam overlay to fix this problem.
Logitech mice may behave odd with polling rate at 1000hz, just set it down to 500hz to fix it if this happens to you.
You may see heavy stutters once the game reaches for the first time to the main menu. This stutters goes away once the game preloads all the shaders.
At last, with GE 8.6 is playable in the Deck. I played for 2 hours flawlessly. This game was made for the Steam Deck.
7.1-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Using Proton GE is enough to make the videos work correctly.
Using Proton GE just for the videos. I play it with an arcade stick with no problem for 12 hours at the time of this report.
Works out of the box.
As a side note, since patch 1.7.7.2, they degraded the sountrack quality A LOT. Use this guide so you can restablish the old soundtrack quality:

You just have to install d3dcompiler_47, I used Protontricks to do that. Once you install that library, the demo runs flawlessly, like on Windows.
I guess this should work for the full game as well.
Game works out of the box. Try to set your governor to performance and PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 may come helpful if you experience crashes.
It happened to me 2 or 3 times in the lapse of 60 hours but if it crackles, try to reset Pulseaudio with pulseaudio -k, it works.
Alt-Tab doesn't minimize the game.
No rumble for some reason.
Make sure to set up your cpu governor to performance! This made a huge change for me performance wise in high load scenes like boss battles with lots of effects.
You can do that with sudo cpupower frequency-set -g performance or setting up Feral Gamemode.
