It works well with the -noprecache in launch options, before adding this there was some micro stuttering.
Was solved with -noprecache in launch options :)
Changed windows version to Windows 10
No mods, just changed Windows version using protontricks, this might work different on Nvidia.
Developer must enable EAC for Linux
Tried Proton experimental as well. EAC stops even starting the game.
Does not run
Not working on my setup, I might have done something wrong but in general it's not a user friendly experience. Tips on how to get in running are welcome.
It works with some tweaks, also my system is kinda old but it ran fine with DX12 selected, so I would say it's great.
Enable Vsync fixed it
Running DX12 fixed it it would seem for now at least
Requires some modification to settings and proton version, but it's running fine, FPS is a bit all over the place but it is early access at this point so there's that as well.
After the latest update it runs really well, the stability issues have been solved as far as I can tell and it's absolutely lovely to play.
It works great thanks to the devs and proton devs.
Works very well, slight issue with DX12 mode as mentioned but other than that it ran fine.
PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command% -novid
When going back to the main menu in DX12 FPS drops alot. Other than that it ran fine.
It works better in Windows though
Choppy menu
Slowness in the menu and choppy audio
Had to force Proton-7.0rc3-GE-1 to get this working. In the game, had to change graphics settings to Vulkan(Defaults to DirectX when using Proton) and the Audio to OPENAL to get rid of the crackling. Only tried Serious Sam FE HD, but it worked without issues after this.
Before I did any of this the game would not launch at all, so not a great experience for someone novice or expecting native support(like advertised).
It ran very well, graphics where nice and I've yet to experience any issues.
Slight slow downs in the beginning but after the opening sequence it ran very well. No issues with anything after that at least so far. Seems to be well handled by Proton.
