Game runs fine until it's time to play it, where you just get a black screen. No crashes or performance problems, just empty black. I thought it might be a video playback issue with an intro video, but all of the menus and load screens are mp4 files that play just fine.
Graphics set to minimum; full screen, borderless and windowed all yield the same result; every launch option I've tried has prevented the game from even launching.
Runs exactly like in Windows: with tons of issues
Any and all problems experienced in this atrocious port are just as they are in Windows. Nonfunctional gamepad config, two unchangeable double-bound buttons, funky graphics glitches, slowdowns caused by the music, etc. Playing on Linux is exactly the same, but the game does run and is beatable.
The Style Switcher Mod normally fixes all these problems and enhances the game, but it's installed with a .bat, which can't be executed on Linux to my knowledge.
Fails to run four out of five times, even with GE's custom Proton
The game used to run fine before the expansion released. After that, it became an unplayable <1 FPS. There is a custom version of Proton by GloriousEggroll, but even using that, the game will crash most of the time when you first try to load a save. It's entirely up to chance whether or not you're allowed to play, and even then it can lock up afterwards for no discernible reason.
Killing enemies past the tutorial crashes not just the game, but also Steam
After the tutorial mission, both the game and Steam itself will crash whenever killing an enemy
