There was a text popup during the tutorial missing some random characters, but I couldn't tell if it was intentional or localization-related (I was trying Spanish localization)
I just set the compatibility settings to use latest Proton (7.0.4) before installing the game and that was it.
Potential glitchy tutorial text in one specific part, but it could be an intentional effect given the context where it happens.
On my first report (using Proton GE) I noticed it playing the game in Spanish, but it's also happening with normal Proton and English language.
Worked out of the box on my Steam Deck, restoring my cloud save without apparent issue either.
Works with regular Proton. Controller is supported, but it seems to struggle with touch/mouse input.
Using the default controller layout the game sometimes seems to struggle with controller/touch focus. I'm noticing it on a Windows computer, so it doesn't seem Deck-related.
Good so far with default Proton settings.
I had to enable compatibility settings, but it works well with both Proton Experimental and the latest stable release (7.0.3). No other tinkering required.
I could start a new History mode run + an Arcade stage (I had existing Cloud save data). No issues found in gameplay or menus yet.
Worked well with Proton Experimental (default version not tested). Unlock graphical settings for improved performance.
SteamDeck=0 %command%
It worked well without tinkering by using Proton Experimental and capped FPS at 40, but battery drain was significant. I didn't try mainline Proton versions or GE.
A Reddit search pointed me to settings defined in SteamDeckHQ. It seems to perform a bit smoother now.
Graphical settings (after unlocking them via command line options) as suggested in the notes.
Nothing significant and I could increase text size in the game settings.
