Limited framerate to 30fps or thereabouts
Text can be pretty small
Generally lower graphics quality overall, although enabling FSR helps alot
When I put the steam deck to sleep while running the game, then turn it on again, the fan runs alarmingly loud, as if there's an obstruction. Quitting the game and restarting the deck seems to fix it. I just quit the game now instead of putting the deck to sleep mid-game.
FSR helps graphics alot. Looks pretty fuzzy but runs smoothly at least
Secondary launcher shows up but clicking the Play button eventually works
First time I opened the game, I couldn't log in. Said there were "no servers available". Later I opened it on my PC and I was able to log in to a server and make my character just fine. I tried again on my steam deck some time later and everything worked fine.
Works 95% perfectly on the steam deck. Main problem is the text size.
Set scaling to FSR. Not strictly necessary, I just wanted the fan to be quieter.
Text is small, and can be VERY small. It'd be nice to have an option to fix that
Random but rare crackling
Tried to match the layout of the first game as best I could
FSR on + FPS limited to 30.
Text is more readable than the first game, but in-game pop-ups often overlap eachother, or don't work well with the steam deck screen size, making things hard to read sometimes.
Tweak the controls, some game settings, and steam deck settings and it's as playable as any other CRPG on Steam deck
Made some changes that worked better for me personally. Mapped both camera movement and rotation to the joysticks, created a radial wheel for number keys and mapped it to the left touchpad.
Limited FPS to 30. Not sure how big a difference this makes. There's still odd laggy moments.
Text is pretty small. You can change that in the game settings but make it too big and it can get cut off
Odd laggy moments. Can't say what caused them.
Did not launch initially after install. Got stuck on the steam loading screen. Launching the game in desktop mode seemed to fix this. Worked in gaming mode after that.
Needs GE ("Glorious Eggroll") proton to run. Once you install that, works perfectly.
Game launches but is very buggy. The main menu looks like it has assets missing. Tried on default proton, experimental and GE.
Proton GE 7-43 DirectX 9
Can be pretty small
So I followed the steps that user Steve.greenaway added, and the game suddenly works perfectly. The controls almost feel native to steam deck even.
