Game works perfectly in linux. Only issue on my side was an OS issue (full screen scaling) not a game issue.
For SteamOS/HoloISO: gamescope-session file changed to support 4K resolution. (-H 3840 -W 2160). Games maximum resolution appears to be 1280x720. To get full screen the following line needed to be removed from the gamescope-session file -
max-scale: 2
Removing this allows gamescope to scale the game full screen for resolutions more than 2x 720p
Don't know about other Proton versions but game just works under Glorious Eggroll. SteamOS users may need to check their gamescope settings to get fullscreen, but beyong that it just runs as if on Windows.
First run froze at first logo splash. Checked resolution setting in games Deck UI preferences and switched to GE Proton then all worked fine.
HoloISO/SteamOS 3.4 - just works!
Not much to say. Old school adventure remagined using Unity and released as a native Linux binary. Just works. Plug n play!
Updated 80s arcade classic that pretty much runs out the box.
Steam Controller - Right Pad (camera controls/right thumbstick) very inaccurate with direction of fire. Had to download a community mapping with 'improved r-pad' to fix.
If you're using a Steam Controller you'll probably want to assign a new controller config.
Classic 80s platformer that works fine on SteamOS.
Controller did not work in the setting menu. Fine in the actual game. Thankfully nothing in settings that needs to be touched anyway.
Went for the default Proton install for this one. Worked fine. It's a cracking old school Platformer with updated graphics. Add to the SteamOS plug'n'play list.
Simple Game. Just Works.
No issues here. Download and play. Unity game with mouse controls. Classic board game. Plug n play.
Old Skool Classic 3D Monster Maze. Just Works.
I use a Steam Controller. Runs in WASD/mouse mode out of the box. Game works withour any remapping but some convience can be added remapping Enter amd Escape.
Audio disappeared with rendering issues at the start of chapter 6
Late game, first mission in Chapter 6, had very bad, game breaking, rendering issues.
Game completely bugged out in Chapter 6
Found some in game VR goggles - suddenly the graphics looked like a ZX81!!!! ;)
This game just works! It's a great game. Download, install, play, and enjoy those 8/16-bit retro era graphic styles!
Run ProtonGE 7.26 just because it's the latest I had installed. Everything worked flawlessly first try. Wouldn't be surprised if it run just fine on SteamOS's stock Proton install.
