To fix issues involving Punkbuster kicking you from matches, I reccomend following the guide posted below some four months ago by Yagato.
If you exprience issues with the EA app failing to connect with their servers I reccomend reinstalling the game.
Works perfectly fine. Some FPS issues but that's probably just how the game is tbh.
Set to launch on Proton Next (7.0.6)
Have only played the Campaign on linux so far. So, I cannot speak to the preformance on Multiplayer. But, Preformance overall is pretty good. On High Graphics settings, I have been hovering around 80 - 90 FPS in the open world and 120 - 144 FPS on missons with thier own maps. Overall the only instability I have noticed was some weird lighting bugs durring a few cutscenes. But overall, works just fine on Experimental.
Besides the preformance issues the game runs perfectly fine out of the box. I didn't require any additional launch settings.
The game hovers around 50 - 30 FPS, Still totally playable but a little choppy.
Very minor studdering
I have not really started playing as of yet but it launches and I have gotten to the initial bit of gameplay and combat.
Slight crackling occured when moving mouse.
Frame drop occurred when moving the mouse.
Unsure of general stability over time when playing, or if the game will crash in certain sections. Just what worked for me when trying to launch the game.
gamescope -W 1920 -H 1080 -b %command%
If you like me, was struggling with the mouse cursor going off screen durring battles. Which ended up making what was a staple native linux game unplayable. This is the fix for you. Try downloading the "gamescope" package and insert the launch options listed above. Happy hunting!
Note: Make sure you change the resolution to match your monitor in the launch options script.
