Doesn't start past the launcher, probably due to its amazing Games for Windows Live integration. xD
Fixes exist, involving mucking around with xLive.dll, but I did not pursue them.
Added the launch option: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" %command%
Some, but not all, audio comes through. To fix it, set this launch option for the game in Steam: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" %command%
At 60 FPS (achieved by setting my monitor refresh rate to 60; clamping FPS via Fallout 4's INI file had no effect), there's significant input latency. I drag the mouse, and there's a significant delay between the camera turning in the game. It kind of has a "drunken sluggishness". This is still present but much less-so at higher FPS (frex ~165 FPS, my monitor's native Hz).
Set your monitor to 60 Hz if it's natively higher; the game's unplayable at higher framerates.
Alt+Tab crashes the game. This is actually likely a holdover from its native behavior on Windows; it hails from the era of games that frequently broke with Alt+Tabbing, and tabbing out was superstitiously avoided.
At over 60 FPS, animations and player movement happen superfast. This is a limitation of the Gamebryo engine, common to all Bethesda games, and also happens on Windows. Lacking GPU control panel framerate clamps like you have on Windows, mods exist to get the game down to 60 FPS, but I chose the dumber solution of just setting my monitor down to 60 Hz, and then the game played without issues.
The game ran flawless one day, but the next it ceased to launch. When launching the individual EXEs via the command line (even GTAVLauncher.exe), I get the dreaded "Unable to locate the Rockstar Games Launcher, please verify your game data." error. To my knowledge, there wasn't even an update to cause this. When trying to launch ./Installers/Rockstar-Games-Launcher.exe, I get:
