Need to change to the Anniversary Beta in the Steam settings for the game and disable the 60 FPS Mode for battles in the game launcher.
Had to switch to the Anniversary Editon and disable 60 FPS Battles in the Launcher, otherwise the game freezes when any ingame video overlay is played, which happens quite often in battles in this game
Game hangs when an inbattle video is played, which happens for the first time at the first Millenia fight.
Need to change to the Anniversary Beta in the Steam settings and disable the 60 FPS Mode for battles in the game launcher to fix this.
Need to tinker with protontricks and for multiplayer need to struggle through invisible browser windows.
protontricks 962130 -q dotnet40
FSR ON @ 1152x720. SMT off, MAX CPU Frequenzy 2.4 GHz, 40 FPS lock
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjpNhiv9_FY Followed this guide and used an external mouse & keyboard.
Works perfectly out of the box.
The unofficial ReTranslation patch also works and can be installed via Protontricks.
Works flawlessy
Runs like a native Linux game, locked at 60 FPS while using around 10 watts of total power.
Runs almost perfectly with 60fps on the steam deck, besides a few rooms with many enemies which drop down to 30-40
45 FPS Sync, SMT off, 2 GHz CPU Clock
Some rooms with many enemies drop performance to 30-40 FPS, othwise works fine
If you're alright with 30 FPS @ low settings (which looks quite bad), then go for it. Otherwise wait and hope the dev optimizes the game.
Text is pretty small at native resolution. Playing under native makes it almost unreadable
Game runs bad. Reaches about 30-40 FPS with Low settings and Ambient Occlusion + Water Reflections. Any lower and the game looks horrible.
Works perfectly once you do the protontricks and ESYNC stuff. Videos work with Proton GE.

TDP to 3 Watts, GPU Clock to 200MHz
