Nintendo controller is treated like an XBox controller, so all the buttons are backwards in the menus. This is a problem many games haven't addressed, with the assumption everyone on PC uses Microsoft gamepads.

Tinker Steps:Changed configuration

If the game doesn't load, try this first:

Right click game in list, Manage, Browse Local Files
Open the Civ6 file
Change ./GameGuide/Civ6 to ./Civ6Sub and save
Play the game! If you still cannot launch the game, try other methods on ProtonDB.
