starting it I had the [The server is not reachable, check your internet connection and click "Retry".] error message looking around its an issue with Duivendo start steam with "STEAM_RUNTIME=1 steam" and it works. I had been using LSI-steam and that did not work.

The native client broke again and is only playable via proton how ever it does work well on proton
the game is likely to work just as well native next update as they often fix this issue quickly.
