I LOVE GARFIELD OMG ITS MY ADDICTION!
The beginning menu, where you have to specify where the graphics are, looks extremely outdated, I asumme because of some .NET plugin or something similar, doesn't mess with the gameplay, just looks kinda out of place.
Assuming you know how to install osu! (which is a pain, to new linux users) I would say this client probably works better than osu!
There is absolutly no sensitvity control so you must control it outside of the window.
xsetwacom --set "Wacom One by Wacom S Pen stylus" MapToOutput 2080x2080+0+0 (for tablets - high sensitivty) but the game works and responds better than osu! stable.

The launch option is for mods, if you don't want them you don't need that launch option. Everything works smooth.
Controllers work, Steam Couch Play works, just like you would expect
Steam sign in didn't work, so I had to create a VRChat account.
It was fine, worked as expected, even in high shader rooms. * Note i didn't use VR (I do have it, it's not supported by linux however.
Fun game, if you compare the Windows and Linux version there is basically no difference.
