A secondary launch window did appear, but it's easy to get past.
Other than the secondary launch window that appears (Which is easy to proceed), the game runs great with the default keyboard and mouse controls.
It gets to the loading screen briefly in the beginning, but stops, then boots out of the game back to Steam Library. :(
I saw the game had Native support so I had high hopes it would work right out of the gate. I launched the game and it did display the BattleCon background in the very beginning which made me happy. But then it got to the loading screen, and just stopped, and exited out of the game entirely back to the Steam Library.
Game worked flawlessly out of the gate. I would give this the "Great On Deck" seal of approval.
The worked great right out of the gate. This is a mouse support only game, so you will be using the touchpad. Other than that, it plays with no issues!
A secondary window before the game launches appears (For resolution, etc.), but it's easy to get past.
Tested right out of the gate with no adjustments. A secondary window appears which is easy to get past, and the default Mouse controls get the Job done.
Using Valve's Steam Deck rating criteria, I will give it the "Playable" verdict.
Very Minor Issue. The game is set to Windowed as default. The cursor can't fully reach the right side of the screen as if part of the right screen is cutoff. Switching to Fullscreen in Options fixes this issue.
Other than that one very minor issue that the Developer can easily fix by making "Full Screen" the default for Steam Deck, the game runs fine right out of the gate. Default Mouse controls get the job done.
If the Developer can just address that one issue, then this would get the "Great On Deck" seal of approval.
No audio at all
I'm sad about this one. Was excited to see this launch with no issues, and play with no issues, but the audio doesn't work. :(
Runs Fantastic now
I posted the last time that the Audio was not working at all. I figured I give it another shot after a Steam Deck update was pushed out, and Audio finally works!
Works great now! Keep in mind this is a Mouse control only game.
The default resolution was not set to the standard screen size of the deck. So you would just have to go into the game options and adjust manually.
Other than just having to manually adjust the game's screen resolution to the Steam Deck's screen resolution in the game's options (The game doesn't default the screen resolution on its own), it runs just fine out of the gate. Using Valve's rating criteria, I would give this the "Playable" status.
There is a secondary launch window, but it's easy to get past.
Text in general are easy to read, but the icons on the board, and cards in general might be a bit difficult to see. You might see yourself moving the screen closer to your face from time to time.
You will need to proceed past a secondary launch window. Other than that, it is certainly playable as long as you can tolerate some of the small icons on the board that might be difficult to see. This is a mouse only game you you will need to use the touchpad which it automatically defaults.
Plays great right out of the gate.
Tested with no tinkering and it play just fine right out of the gate, which includes the default Mouse controls.
Using Valve's criteria, I would give this the "Verified" seal.
Game appears to run great! Works right out of the gate with no adjustments needed. Did some testing in Training Mode, and Arcade mode, and runs with no issues.
Tried launching with out of the box without tinerking, and the game wouldn't launch at all with default Steam Deck Proton. So I changed it to Proton Experimental in the game properties, and it launched with no issues.
Other than just changing it to Proton Experimental, the game plays perfectly.
Looks like it runs great out of the gate wit hthe default Keyboard and Mouse controls.
Works fantastic right out of the gate. Played through the tutorial with no issues. Has controller support as well, so this gets the "Great on Deck" seal of approval from me!
Runs fantastically.
Unsure how the game was running prior to today's Steam Deck patch the developers pushed out, but it runs fantastic right out of the gate (Has controller support).
Using Valve's criteria, I give this the "Great on Deck" seal of approval.
Runs great out of the gate. Do keep in mind this is a Mouse Controls only game, so the default controls are set to the Touchpad as a result. Very easy to control though, so thumbs up from me!
Runs perfectly right out of the gate. No tinkering required.
I give this the "Great on Deck" seal of approval.
Game runs great right out of the gate. Plays fine with the default Keyboard and Mouse controls.
Text is somewhat small, but readable.
Did testing with the game right out of the gate with no adjustments. Game did launch, and was playable, but text is somwhat small but mangeable.
Game auto adjust itself by default to maintain 60 FPS, but graphics look a little jagged. You can tweak graphics settings to your preference though.
Default mouse controls get the job done. I imagine community controls will make it even better.
Using Valve's rating criteria, I would give this the "Playable" verdict with the bullet points I listed above.
The Cutscenes are pretty much unviewable. It's essentially that bright colors streak effect. But the actual game runs and plays.
Other than not being able to see the cutscenes. The game runs fine otherwise. It has controller support so default controls worked just fine.
Using Valve's Steam Deck rating criteria, I would give this the "Playable" verdict with the cutscene issue I listed above.
Works fantastic out of the gate! Keep in mind this is a mouse only support game, so you will use the touchpad which it defaults to automatically.
Some text might be a bit small, but you can read it if you move in closer.
Other than the small text, it runs right out of the gate with no issues. Default Keyboard & Mouse controls get the job done. Using Valve's rating criteria, I'd give this the "Playable" verdict.
Works fantastic right out of the gate! Bear in mind this is a mouse support only game so you will be using the touchpad which it defaults to automatically.
Sound does not work at all with the default Steam OS Proton.
Game launches just fine. The only issue is with the audio as it doesn't work at all with the default Steam OS Proton. I have done no tinkering to test how well it runs right out of the gate.
Controls are fine, but do note this game supports Mouse only controls.
Audio doesn't work at all unfortunately.
Using the default Steam OS proton with no tinkering to test out of the box functionality. The game launches and runs/plays, but the first time the game opens, there is a (One time) introduction popup window from the game that doesn't appear to let you use the touchpad (To scroll with the Mouse), so you need to use the touch screen instead to click the "Ok/Proceed" button.
In addtion, the audio doesn't work at all.
Runs fantasically.
Run perfectly right out of the gate. Using Valve's criteria, I give this the "Great On Deck" seal of approval.
The game screen default is set to "Large" instead of FullScreen or Windowed. So a part of the screen is cut off.
If you can navigate to the options menu within the game and set it to "Fullscreen" or "Windowed", then you're golden. Developers seem to be aware of this issue so it may get fixed in the near future as this should be an easy adjustment.
Soon as the developers can fix that "Large" resolution setting, this will almost certainly get the "Great on Deck" seal of approval since It has full controller support as well.
Until then using Valve's rating criteria, I give this the "Playable" verdict for now.
There might be some areas where the text is small on the UI, but it didn't bother me too much.
Game runs great right out of the box with the default Mouse controls. Using Valve's criteria, I would give it the "Playable" status as some might find some of the text a little small on the screen.
Runs flawlessly right out of the gate. Using Valve's criteria, I give it the "Great on Deck" seal of approval.
Loads to main menu, but shows black screen when entering game.
Tested with no tinkering. The game was able to load to the Main Menu. However, the game displays a black screen when you proceed into the actual game. So you're unable to read any text which renders the game unplayable sadly.
I also tested with Experimental proton just to double check, but same thing.
The game runs fine right out of the gate. Do keep in mind this is a Mouse support only game, s you'll need to use the touchpad. However, it's easy to use so no worries there.
This game works fantastic right out of the gate. The game has full gamepad controller support. This gets the "Great on Deck" seal of approval from me.
