Game works flawlessly out of the box. Performance is - as expected - excellent. Nothing more to say.

The initial start took quite some time and despite controller buttons being displayed, I had to use the mouse to confirm ubisoft launcher.
But this was only the first start of the game after installation. All following ones are quick and without problems. So far I played through the first scenes (child) and saved and loaded successfully. All settings are on ultra/max.
Only downside is: Since ubisoft launcher is part of the executable, when closing the game, the launcher is still open, hence steam reporting the "game is still running". So you manually need to close the u-launcher in order to be able to launch the game through steam again.
EAC failes to initialyze... even with some tinkering found on reddit / forums for other games using EAC.
Got it working by using Proton experimental (bleeding Edge beta) and disconnecting internet for gamestart, enabled after I saw main menu, still running.
Online works, but unfortunately the servers seem to be overwhelmed at the moment. Like on other platforms, we're getting network errors quite regularly when summoned.
Enable Proton Experimental [bleeding-edge] beta. Turn off Wifi/Ethernet. Launch game. Re-enable Wifi/Ethernet. Play.

Starting the game is like gambling since the last patch by FromSoftware. If gamewindow doesn't open after EAC initialization, stop process and try again. Sometimes takes up to 10 tries to get it working.
Coop, messages, invasions and blood pools work quite nice.

Significant FPS drops on some occasions, like throwing a fireball.
Performance related issues seem to also exist on windows machines
As far as I can see, the game runs super smooth and as well as it would on any other operating system.
- Navigate to the installation directory of EG2
- Create a backup of eg2.exe (optional).
- Open terminal.
- Create a link from evilgenius_vulkan.exe to eg2.exe (bypasses the launcher): ln -s ../bin/evilgenius_vulkan.exe eg2.exe
After using alt+tab or super key to go to desktop and go back in game, most keyboard and mouse inputs don't work anymore and I need to restart the game.
Ignoring the fact with the tv test image instead of intro video and main menu background, the game runs fine.
The intro, main menu background and some other textures or video files seem to be missing, because all I see is a tv test image instead of the actual content.
Game works like a charm without any tinkering or any problems.
Other than on windows (as it seems), I don't have any problems with the game. Performance on ultra 4K is awesome. No stuttering, no frame drops, no crashes. 👍🏻
Game works out of the box with no issues. Since today the multiplayer is also working and I didn't have any issues with it either. :)
