SteamDeck=1 %command%
When launching the vanilla game, I received a PlayStation SDK installation failure message. However, when adding the launch command SteamDeck=1 %command% and changing the Proton version to Experimental, the game starts and runs without any problems.
In areas of the game's first two missions I got a solid average of 70FPS with my hardware and all graphics settings at Ultra. As I continued further into the game, the scenarios became heavier and my average went to 45-55 with the same preset. Great news though: enabling FSR3 boosted me to 65FPS in these same regions without reducing the preset! So far it's the best port in terms of optimization for me, next to GoT. Thanks, Sony!
The game runs very well without any tweaks to my setup. I just changed the Proton version to 'Hotfix' out of personal preference.
The game runs very well on Arch Linux considering this is Day One. I experienced some frame drops but this also happens on Windows. I believe that Nixxes will further polish the game in the coming months.
The problem can be resolved by running this command on terminal: pw-metadata -n settings 0 clock.force-quantum 50
After the latest game and shader updates, the performance has improved fantastically. On my config, in the regular map, the FPS always stays above 60 fps even in cutscenes. On the BS maps, the FPS rate reaches a minimum of 40 fps in the main city. This is a known issue and also occurs on Windows. Even on the PS5 this happened before updates from Sony. Still, in other BS regions the game returns to more than 60FPS. My graphics preset is set to Very High without FSR or XESS.
Beautiful game that runs perfectly on my Linux installation!
The game runs wonderfully on my system. I just installed it and started playing the same as any other Windows game. It runs perfectly with no lags or crashing issues.
