Works with Proton 7.0-1, some controller issues.
Xbox 360 controller was detected in launcher but not in-game.
Install xact via protontricks, then manually add xaudio2_6 and xaudio2_7 overrides for the game in winecfg.
With the latest Proton (5.13-5), the error when syncing to Ultratech servers at startup is gone, and Shadow Lords is now playable. Have not tested multiplayer. There's an "abnormal termination" warning from Wine when exiting the game, but it's only a minor annoyance.
2-3 crashes over the course of 35 hours of play, but I don't believe these to be caused by Proton.
Game works, but has issues with fullscreen (can't change resolution/go fullscreen) that are unrelated to Proton (ie: also exist on Windows).
Only tested briefly (two offline matches), but everything seemed to work fine out of the box.

When using a DualShock 4, the camera would constantly rotate to the right. I was able to fix this by disabling Steam Input for the game. After that, the controls worked perfectly.
